Hotel vs. Camping
We’ve all had a chance to camp, or have
had the luxury of staying in a hotel once or more in our lifetimes.
If we haven’t, we should still know the obvious
differences of the two. Everyone has their own
opinions of the two; however, they’re alike and
different in some ways.
First, I’d like to talk about the
comparisons of the two. Camping and a hotel, no
matter what you think, are a place to sleep. If
you rent a hotel room you’re staying in a bed; if
you pitch a tent, you’re sleeping in your sleeping bag. Another
reason they’re alike is they can be noisy. When
camping, you have everything in nature to keep you up at night. Animals don’t care if you are sleeping or not. When staying in a hotel, you aren’t the only one staying there.
Other people are rooming right next to you and
they may have babies or small children. Lastly,
you can have a good and bad experience at both. For example, at the hotel you could have a really clean room
or your room could be dirty. Every hotel is a
different experience. When camping, the weather
could determine whether or not you have a good time. If
it is raining the whole time, you won’t have as much to do as if it were sunny.
So both have similarities; however,
they also have differences.
Camping and renting a hotel room have some
similarities; but, they have many differences.
To start off, camping is way cheaper than renting
a hotel room. For camping, all you really need is
your own belongings and groceries to last the week. To
rent a hotel, pending on the cost of the room each night, could be very costly
including all the extras you might get to go along with the cost of the room.
Another significant difference between the two is
when you camp, you’re usually already in a spot to do many outdoor activities.
When you rent a hotel room, you usually have to
drive to your attraction. Lastly, camping is
outdoors so you don’t have showers or restrooms to use. If
you do have restrooms, they’re public and everyone can use them; not just you. When renting a
hotel, you have your own facility to use that is sometimes even better than
your own.
In conclusion, both have similarities and
differences. Everyone has a different preference;
which makes these differences important to your
choice or opinion. Some people would rather not
deal with the outdoors, and just stay in a hotel. Others hate being cooped up in a room for their stay.
When it comes to me, I don’t have a preference.
I enjoy camping, but sometimes I also enjoy
renting a hotel room. I guess the situation would
help which one I would pick; like the weather, or
the amount of money available.
